Tesoro Music Boosters
Tesoro High School’s Instrumental Music Department includes a variety of courses and ensembles for all students interested in instrumental music. To support the students and directors, Tesoro Music Boosters gather parents of students from all courses to assist with concerts, equipment transportation, feeding students during activities, and fundraising to provide the students with greater access to activities and coaches. We work hard to make great memories for our students.
As a parent/guardian of a student of any of the ensembles in the Tesoro Instrumental Music Program, you are part of the Tesoro Music Boosters. It takes an army to facilitate all of the student's amazing events, concerts and opportunities. We hope you can join us.
-
The Boosters meet monthly (usually the 2nd Thursday) in the Instrumental Music room at 7pm (map below). Check the Music calendar or our group on the Band app for the current schedule.
-
The program relies on generous financial donations from each family. See the Fair Share page for more information.
-
Each concert and many events need volunteers. Sign-ups are posted on the Band app.
Tesoro Music Boosters is a fun place to make friends with like-minded parents and unforgettable memories with your high-schooler.

Performing Ensembles
The Wind Ensemble, an audition ensemble, and Concert Band are year-long classes that perform at concerts throughout the year and compete at festivals during spring semester. Top-level performers from Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble come together to form the Symphony Orchestra which meets weekly in the evening during spring semester.
The Chamber and Sinfonia Orchestras, audition ensembles, and String Ensemble are year-long classes that perform at concerts and compete in festivals during spring semester. Their fall dinner concert is not to be missed. Top-level performers from Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble come together to form the Symphony Orchestra which meets weekly in the evening during spring semester.
The Titan Regiment is made up of Tesoro's Marching Band and Color Guard. Meeting during zero period and weekly for an evening rehearsal, they are active during fall semester. The Regiment performs during football games, competes at field shows, and celebrates the holiday season as part of the Laguna Nigel Holiday Parade. In order to be ready for their busy semester, they meet together each summer for Band Camp.
After the end of marching season, the Color Guard continue their afterschool rehearsals to prepare for the indoor Winter Guard season. Using flags, sabers, mock rifles and other equipment, recorded music, dance, and interpretive movement, the guard tells a story through their routine in grace and color. They compete against other Winter Guard groups in competitions during spring semester.
Bringing the precision and focus that kept the Titan Regiment marching in sync, the Winter Drumline is composed of percussionists, both marching and pit, and creates an entertaining show using music, marching in formation, sets and costumes. They rehearse twice a week to prepare for competitions in the late spring, as well as taking an instrumental music class during the day.
Meeting during zero period during second semester, the Jazz Band is one of many audition-only ensembles available at Tesoro High School. They perform at basketball games and put on an amazing Spring dinner concert. Their energy is contagious.
